An
International
Readers Theatre Conference in 2007?
Hm-m-m. Why not?
Over the past several weeks a number
of people have expressed interest in some sort of national or international
conference on Readers Theatre in 2007. The possibilities caught our
attention early on and we've given some thought as to how the RTDigest
might contribute to such a project. We can offer a couple of helpful
resources.
To encourage a dialogue on the subject
we've set up a semiprivate discussion list where interested individuals
can exchange ideas, express concerns, offer suggestions and otherwise
become involved in exploring the feasibility of such a project and the
ways and means of proceeding.
You can become a member of the discussion
list by sending a blank e-mail to
ar_tee-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. At some point you may be asked to
share a brief statement of your involvement in RT and your professional
affiliations. It is expected
that the discussion will focus on the topic of a major RT conference
in 2007. The list will be moderated towards that end.
We can also help to keep RT practitioners
aware of the progress of the project via the 8000-plus readers of the
RTDigest.
