From Issue #8 Spring 2005
Editor's Notes
:::
With the passing
of Dr. William Adams,
readers theatre has lost one of its principle gurus. His landmark Institute
Book of Readers Theatre, will have an impact on the form for many
years to come. Bill's obituary
from the San Diego Tribune and Lucy
Rioux's personal recollections of his influence on her readers theatre
experience (in this issue), present a profile of a man with an unusual
dedication to theater, and especially to the genre we call Readers Theatre.

This, our
Spring issue (#8), marks two full years of online publication. We're
pretty well tuned in to Readers Theatre on the Internet and, as far
as we know, RTD is the only on-line
periodical serving the interests of Readers Theatre practitioners world
wide. Our readership is now equivalent to printed periodicals with a
circulation of 7500. We'd like to achieve a target circulation of 10,000
by the end of 2005. You can help. Just e-mail a short note to friends
and colleagues whom you think might be interested in some aspect of
RT. Something as simple as, "Have you discovered the Readers Theatre
Digest yet? It's easy to find at: http://www.readerstheatredigest.com
" will help a lot!
